It’s that time of year again!!!!

Given the strong winds today, there is a possibility of additional power lines coming down. Please be aware that road closures are not implemented without justification. While stationed at a location with a broken power pole obstructing the road, I observed two vehicles drive around the truck. They were redirected at the next vehicle stationed at the pole. I would like to extend my gratitude to the Monroe County Road Commission for providing road closure signs to mark the affected area.

Please remember that roads are closed for specific reasons, and it is essential to respect these closures and not attempt to circumvent them.

Everyone knows that this is a very busy time of the year for Santa! LMR Fire Department was very lucky that Santa took some time out of his busy morning to pay a special visit to some of the youngest members of the LMR family. Everyone then enjoyed a delicious breakfast made by our Firefighters. Thank you to everyone who came out & enjoyed this morning with us!

Last night, the LMR Fire Department had the privilege of escorting Santa on a tour of the Village of Maybee, identifying the residences of local children. In my experience, last night's turnout was exceptionally high, with a substantial number of families gathered outside or in doorways to wave and greet us as we drove by. The warm reception from the community was truly heartwarming.

LMR Fire Department was so grateful that they could play a part in making little Koleman’s day! This little boy will soon be turning 4 and he loves anything fire and first responder related. Koleman will soon be having a pretty big surgery and could use every good thought sent his way!

Ida Fire reached out to area fire departments and other first responders and said let’s show up and really make this sweet boys day. Well as you can see from pictures and videos, when first responders are asked to show up for someone, they show up and they show up BIG! We cannot say enough how grateful we were to be able to participate in this. Happiest of birthday’s to Koleman and all good thoughts coming your way buddy❤️
