UPDATE: Ridgebury Boulevard Resurfacing begins Monday, June 8.

Scope: Joint resurfacing project with Highland Heights from Iroquois Ave. Giesse Dr. (Highland Heights is from West Mill to Iroquois). Portions near future Washington Blvd. work will be deferred and completed afterward, with the Washington Boulevard project.

Benefits: Safer, smoother roadway surface and extended pavement life.

Status: The project will begin on June 8 and conclude in mid to late August. During this time, only eastbound traffic will be permitted on Ridgebury. All westbound traffic between Iroquois Avenue and Giesse Road must use alternate routes. The north-side streets will remain open on Ridgebury, but there will be a right-turn-only.

Mayfield Heights Police Investigate Reports of Shots Fired
Mayfield Heights, Ohio โ€“ On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at approximately 4:22 a.m., the Mayfield Heights Police Department received multiple calls reporting shots fired in the area
of Temple Avenue.

Mayfield Heights officers responded to the scene and determined that no injuries had occurred. One individual is currently in custody in connection with the incident. The investigation remains ongoing.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact the Mayfield Heights Police Department Detective Bureau at (440) 442-2323 ext. 333.

The event take place during the Flag Day Celebration at the Aquatic & Community Center at 3:45 pm. There will be 3 qualifying races, with each race consisting of one lap around the lazy river. The winner of each qualifying heat will advance to the Championship Race, a thrilling 2-lap final showdown for a chance to win CASH PRIZES! ๐Ÿ’ฐ

The Mayfield Heights Police Department is giving away FREE blue light bulbs to residents who want to show their support during Police Weeks Light Ohio Blue Campaign (May 6โ€“16).

These bulbs were generously donated by the Ullmo Family and The Helpful Vet Tech.

Residents can pick up bulbs 24/7 in the police department lobby while supplies last.
