There are approximately 300,000 churches in the U.S. and approximately 330,000 youth in foster care.

If just two families from each church fostered, there would be more than enough homes for youth in care. ⛪️

West Lakes Region was able to host a Parents Night Out event for foster families in our region. A group of workers came together to spend several hours playing with kids and allowing parents some time off. We would like to thank all the volunteers and vendors that helped us-some not pictured.

As you may know, May is Foster Parent Appreciation month. We know that days can be long, nights can be hard and it is definitely not easy doing what you do. In a time when our state is facing such a difficult placement crisis, THANK YOU, for showing up for these kiddos. It is our sincere hope that the families who were able to have a few hours to themselves were able to relax and enjoy quiet time.

Meet Reonna, or as she likes to be called, “Coco” 💗

Coco is a creative teen who loves crocheting, drawing, designing jewelry, and working on art projects. She enjoys expressing herself through creativity and even writes short stories.

She also has a great sense of humor and enjoys school. Coco is a high achiever and even aced a business college course her freshman year.

She’s proud of her accomplishments and ready to share her creativity and personality with a loving adoptive family. 🤍

Hello Lakes Region! We wanted to extend an invite to an upcoming event. Please feel free to share!

We are hoping to find foster parents who are open-minded and supportive to children who might be questioning themselves and/or their sexuality. Anyone and everyone is invited to come hear about ways to support these youth in care! Spread the word!
