Re: Loud Boom heard from Carlisle County and into Graves County, and Hickman County.

Multiple reports of large boom that rattled homes are being reported. Unconfirmed reports indicate that a train may have struck a downed tree in Carlisle or Hickman County. We are not sure yet if it is related. From the distances being reported hearing and feeling it, it is doubtful that it would be the cause but it is being investigated in multiple counties.

Authorities are enroute to the area to investigate.

Scammers never take a day off. The jury duty scam is making its way through Graves County again. Scammers are calling local residence and posing as a Deputy, requesting payment to "take care" of a warrant that has been issued for their arrest due to missing jury duty.

Law enforcement will never ask for payment over the phone to take care of a warrant or ask you to send money through a crypto currency kiosk. If you receive one of these calls, please hang up immediately.
