They keep and maintain meeting minutes and make sure all documents are correct as part of the orderly function of local government. They are the official records custodian for local governments along with much more.

In honor of their hard work, this week, May 3rd through May 9th, 2026 has been proclaimed Municipal Clerks Week, to honor thousands of men and women who work every day in cities, towns, townships, villages and boroughs as Clerks, Deputy Clerks and Assistant Clerks! We are truly blessed with the best here in Mayfield, KY!
