Ms. Missy got to work with 2nd graders from Mrs. Orr’s class this week as they used team building skills to create charts for different tall tale characters we’ve studied. Then each group presented on their character for their classmates.

Let’s celebrate Dolly Parton Day (9-25) with 100% attendance! Dress up like Dolly, wear pink/rhinestones/butterflies, etc.! We would love to see one of her famous wigs as we celebrate her and the impact she had on kiddos with the Imagination Library.

Yesterday was a bittersweet day at Farmington Elementary. Mrs. Thompson has packed up the incubator for the last time. She started this project in the spring of 2023. Since that time, baby chicks have gone home with 24 different kiddos! At the end of this year, Mrs. Thompson will retire. We aren’t sure if the chick project will continue with the next teacher, but we are so thankful for the time that Mrs. Thompson has put into this amazing, hands-on learning experience for our 3rd and 4th graders! Enjoy this walk down Memory Lane to see all of those cute kiddos who have taken home a chick or two as part of this project. 🐣

2nd graders in Ms. Missy’s class used team building skills to create charts for different tall tale characters they’ve studied. Then they presented on their characters to their classmates. They worked hard and used lots of important skills to finish their projects!
