Good evening, Responders!
The Relay for Life is taking place on May 31st and we are in need of volunteers to staff our First Aid Tent at Alumni Field. The relay will only run from 6pm Friday until 8am on Saturday. We are asking volunteers to fill two-hour shifts, but given the shorter duration of this year’s event, you can feel free to stay for two shifts or even the duration if you’d like. We would like to secure at least two people at all times. You DO NOT NEED TO BE "medical personnel" to volunteer for this!! Available shifts are as follows:
Shift 1: 5pm – 7pm (includes setup from the trailer)
Shift 2: 7pm – 9pm
Shift 2: 9pm – 11pm
Shift 3: 6am – 8am (includes breakdown to the trailer)
Please consider giving some time to this great cause - a fun time is always had by all and it is quite a moving event to be part of (especially the luminary ceremony)!
Please contact me at [email protected] or 978-897-1355 to sign-up or for any additional information.
Hope to see you there!

Saturday, September 29th is MAYNARD FEST!

Fire Chief/EMD Stowers has invited the MRC to join him and his firefighters at Maynard Fest this year! Chief Stowers has arranged for two fire safety trailers at the end of Main Street (just past the Pleasant Café) to use this event as an Emergency Operations Center exercise together with the Massachusetts Emergency Management Mobile Emergency Operations Center, which will also be on site. He will have members of the Fire, Police, and DPW as well as the volunteers from the MRC in and out of that facility throughout the day. There will also be activities for kids, informational handouts, and volunteer recruitment opportunities – it should be a fun and busy day! We need volunteers to provide information and giveaways to residents as well as to try to recruit new volunteers!

Here is the schedule for the day (we really need volunteers to a two-hour shift to make this a successful event) – hopefully the new Volunteer Coats will be in too!!

8:30am-10:30am SETUP/Shift 1
10:30am-12:30pm Shift 2
12:30pm-3:00pm Shift 3/BREAKDOWN

TO VOLUNTEER: Please email [email protected] or call Stephanie Duggan (978-897-1355) and let us know if you can help with a shift - thank you!
