R.I.P. to an icon! Randy Mantooth (Johnny Gage) wasn’t just an actor to some he is the reason we do this crazy job! He was an advocate for EMS up until the end! May we all strive to be a Johnny Gage! Thank you sir and rest easy we will take it from here!

Let’s stay safe this weekend folks! If your doing your own fireworks please be mindful of dry conditions!
Keep a bucket of water nearby in case of fire!
Keep fireworks at a safe distance from children!
Make sure all pets are safely inside or sheltered away from fireworks
And as always make sure your reverse is in good condition don’t be like Terry!!

Update: found alive

Jason Larson was last seen in the Johnson Road area of Union County, TN, on June 22nd, 2026. His family has been unable to find him, and they are concerned for his safety.

He rides an E-bike and may go to Lil Jo's and possibly Bubba Brews to play co****le or horseshoes.

Happy International Firefighters Day!!! From Our Department to yours, Thanks For What You Do!

Today is International Firefighters Day. We want to take a minute and thank the brave men and women who risk their own lives to save life and property. Especially those here in Union County as our fire departments are volunteer. They risk it all while asking for nothing in return. So today, the least we can do for their courageous acts is say thank you.

Northwestern Blount County in east Tennessee...
Northwestern Hancock County in east Tennessee...
Northwestern Monroe County in east Tennessee...
Northwestern Grainger County in east Tennessee...
Union County in east Tennessee...
Southwestern Lee County in southwestern Virginia...

* Until 415 AM EDT.

* At 321 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Wilkerson to near Loudon, moving east at 40
mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Knoxville, Oak Ridge, Maryville, Lenoir City, Alcoa, Loudon,
Maynardville, Farragut, New Tazewell, and Louisville.

Interstate 40 in Tennessee between mile markers 366 and 396.

The main threats associated with this system are severe straight-line winds and a slight chance of hail, with a low probability of a tornado. We will keep you informed as more details emerge. From the national weather service in Morristown, Tennessee, there is a chance for a severe strong line of storms to move through our area tonight with extreme winds possible hail damage and a very slight chance for tornado activity don’t be scared be prepared.
