❄️ Winter Weather Safety Reminder ❄️

As winter weather moves into our area, the Town of Mayodan encourages everyone to take a few simple steps to stay safe and prepared.

- Stay away from downed or sagging power lines—always assume they are energized.
- Keep phones charged and have flashlights, batteries, food, water, and medications ready.
- Use generators outdoors only and never use grills or outdoor appliances indoors.
- Bring pets indoors and check on neighbors who may need assistance.
- If you must travel, slow down and give utility crews plenty of room to work.
