A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out today to support our Fish Fry and Cake Auction!

We are incredibly grateful for the support from our community, the volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, everyone who donated cakes and desserts, and every single person who showed up, bid, ate, laughed, and supported our department.

Events like this remind us how blessed we are to serve such an amazing community. Your support helps us continue providing the best service possible to those we protect every day.

Thank you again for making today such a success. We truly couldn’t do it without all of you! πŸš’β€οΈ

Yesterday, several members of Fernleaf Fire Department had the opportunity to attend an ITLS (International Trauma Life Support) course hosted by Maysville Fire Department alongside our partners at Air Evac Lifeteam.

ITLS is an internationally recognized program that focuses on the rapid assessment, stabilization, and transport of trauma patients. This hands-on, scenario-based training helps first responders identify life-threatening injuries, prioritize care, and make critical decisions in those first moments when every second matters.

We are proud to recognize the following members who successfully obtained their ITLS certification:

β€’ Jolly
β€’ Messer
β€’ Doyle
β€’ Lippert
β€’ Swearingen
β€’ Roberts

Training like this strengthens our ability to provide the highest level of pre-hospital care to the citizens we serve. It also builds stronger teamwork and communication between fire, EMS, and air medical providers so that when critical incidents occur, we are ready to work together seamlessly.

πŸš’ Thank You, TC Energy! πŸš’

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to TC Energy and their Build Strong Program for awarding our department a $15,000 grant to help purchase a UTV (side-by-side).

This equipment will be a tremendous asset for our firefighters and first responders. The UTV will allow us to access areas that larger fire apparatus cannot reach, helping us respond more effectively to brush fires, remote emergencies, rescue situations, and other incidents in difficult terrain.

This addition will not only benefit our Fernleaf community but will also support emergency response efforts throughout Mason County.

We are incredibly grateful for community partners like TC Energy who invest in rural emergency services and help departments like ours better serve and protect our communities.

Thank you for helping us build a stronger and safer community!
