Tuesday, June 2, is the filing deadline for several offices that will be on the General Election ballot. These include:
- School Board Members in Districts 2 and 3 as well as the unexpired term for District 4,
- Mayors and City Commissioners in Dover, Germantown and Sardis,
- and Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisors.
Nomination petitions must be filed by
4 p.m. on June 2. If you have any questions, call the office at 564-3341.

Mason County had a 30.4% turnout today in the Primary Election. Congratulations to our winning candidates! For elections to be done well, it takes a lot of work from many people and I want to take the time to thank those who have helped make this election a success.
Thank you to the election officers, who without them, elections would not be possible. Thank you for your service! Job well done!
Also, thank you to our election technician, Jason Butler,
our election vendor, Harp Enterprises, and our maintenance crew, Dwight, Stephen and Tom, for their hard work setting up and taking down the vote centers.
I also want to thank Sheriff Ryan Swolsky and MCHS Principal Seth Faulkner for their help and support today as well as Judge/Executive McNeill for consistently checking in and offering assistance whenever needed. Lastly, my utmost thanks to the best county clerk staff in the state. You guys are the best and I couldn’t do what I do without you.

Recently, a post has appeared on Facebook FALSELY depicting the Maysville City Commissioner race on the Primary ballot. This type of misinformation only causes doubt in our election process and lack of trust in election officials. Furthermore, it is detrimental to our candidates who have have filed to run for office. The county clerk’s office, as well as those across our state and country, work hard to keep our elections fair, honest and safe. Please do not like, share or comment on these types of false posts. It only adds chaos.

Posted below is the ACTUAL Maysville City Commission race that will be on the ballot. There are 12 candidates that have filed to run for office.
