Attention Mayview Utility Customers;
There will be a 15% increase to your water rate on your utilities bill. This will go into affect and will show up on your next bill with a due date of August 15.
Current Mayview city rate $16.56 per 1000 gallon, new rate $19.05
Current rural/Higginsville rate $17.85 per 1000 gallon, new rate $20.53.

Monthly council meeting Monday July 13th @ 6:30 at the city hall.

If anyone sees a man wondering around town or at the edge of town, looking disoriented and confused call the Lafayette Co Sheriff. He may or may NOT be wearing clothes. He's been seen on people's properties drinking from their outside faucet. Seems to have been in several different areas of town. Not sure what he has going on but it needs to be taken care of.
