Today six members from the Chautauqua County Technical Rescue Team participated in day 1 of the annual NYS DHSES technical rescue conference. Much more to come.

Today Chautauqua County Technical Rescue Team demonstrated the equipment we have that has and can be used in a large animal rescue, to a local 4h group. The team exists to assist all in unique emergencies. we set up several configurations of our Paratech Struts for various lifting configurations.

Chautauqua County Technical Rescue Team just put into service some new rope and confined space rescue equipment. Pictured are some of the new rescue tools, CMC Treskellian Tripod, CSR pre-rigged pulley system, Harken Winch and other basic rope gear.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank Niagara Frontier Search and Rescue and Dark Skies Search Dogs for coming out to assist in searching for Daniel Emerson. Both organizations volunteer their time and come with highly trained water recovery canines.
