THANK YOU, MAYVILLE!

What an incredible way to wrap up our First Annual Mayville EMS Trap & Clay Shoot!

We want to send a HUGE thank you to everyone who came out and helped make our first year such a success. Even with the rain, our community showed up, had a great time, and supported Mayville EMS in a way that truly exceeded our expectations.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, sponsors, donors, participants, and volunteers, we raised an incredible $10,600!

A very special thank you goes to Shelley Eilbes and all of the amazing volunteers at the Mayville Gun Club. The amount of work that went into helping us organize and run this event did not go unnoticed. From preparing for the shoot to keeping everything moving throughout the day, we truly could not have done it without you!

We also want to give a special thank you to Americana Craft BBQ for providing the incredible food! If you were there, you know just how good it was. Thank you for helping make the day that much better!

🌟 Our September Team Member Spotlight – Natalie Malicoat 🌟

Natalie joined Mayville EMS in 2014, and ever since the day she joined our team, she has been an absolute powerhouse! As an AEMT, it didn't take long for us to see that Natalie was a leader.

Natalie has been an important part of our EMS crews, but her impact goes far beyond responding to calls. She has been instrumental in the growth and success of the Mayville EMS Training Center. Natalie serves as a Lead Instructor, helping educate and prepare the next generation of EMS providers. And when she isn't teaching, you will often find her working behind the scenes, taking care of the administrative tasks that help keep the Training Center running smoothly.

As if that wasn't enough, Natalie also serves as a Firefighter/Safety Officer with the Theresa Fire Department. Between her full-time career, running EMS calls, teaching, administrative work, and serving with the fire department, Natalie certainly keeps herself busy!

Free time isn't something Natalie has a lot of, but when she gets some, she enjoys nature photography and traveling to visit her sister and brother-in-law.

Natalie is someone we know we can count on. When there is a need, she steps up. When there is a call for help, she answers. When a job needs to get done, Natalie gets it done.

As they say in The Lord of the Rings…
🔥 “When the beacons are lit,” Natalie always answers the call for aid. 🔥

We are incredibly grateful for everything Natalie brings to Mayville EMS and the Mayville EMS Training Center. Her dedication, leadership, hard work, and willingness to always step up make her an incredible part of our TEAM.

🚑 Fleet Update for Mayville EMS 🚑

Mayville EMS is excited to announce the addition of a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe to our fleet.

This vehicle replaces our previous 2015 Ford Explorer, which will continue serving the City of Mayville in its new role with the Parks Department. The Tahoe was transferred to us from the Mayville Police Department, allowing us to maximize existing city resources while enhancing our EMS operations.

The Tahoe will play an important role in supporting our department by transporting personnel and equipment, responding to incidents, providing command support at large-scale emergencies, and assisting with a variety of day-to-day administrative and operational needs.

We appreciate the continued partnership with the Mayville Police Department and the City of Mayville in helping us provide the highest level of service to the communities we serve.

🌟 Team Member Spotlight: Roy Smalley 🌟

We are excited to shine the spotlight on Roy Smalley, who joined Mayville EMS in 2020!

When times were uncertain, Roy stayed strong and continued to support Mayville EMS. He started by running with the service as a driver, and in 2023, he decided to take the next step and become an EMT. Roy completed his EMT training and received his EMT license in 2024. But Roy didn't stop there!

Less than a year later, he challenged himself again and went back to school to become an AEMT. He received his AEMT license in May 2025 and has jumped in with both feet ever since, responding to calls and putting his skills to work in our community. 🚑

Roy wears many hats at Mayville EMS. He is a CPR Instructor, Instructor II for the Mayville EMS Training Center, Training Officer, and is always looking for ways to continue learning and growing. He has also taken on a new venture we are currently working on and has become licensed in Community EMS.

In 2026, Roy became one of our two newest full-time employees as Mayville EMS continues to grow. We are excited to have him as part of our full-time team and look forward to seeing where his many talents take him!

Roy is also a familiar face around our community. You may see him running through town—or you may have even had him as your personal trainer! 🏃‍♂️💪

When Roy isn't working or helping Mayville EMS and the Training Center, he enjoys spending time with his family and has a love for music and theater.

And one last fun fact about Roy… he has a mind of steel when it comes to remembering songs and movie sayings! 🎶🎬 If you need to know who sang a song or what movie a saying came from, Roy might just be your guy! 😂

Roy brings so many different talents, experiences, and energy to both Mayville EMS and the Mayville EMS Training Center. His willingness to learn, take on new challenges, and jump in wherever he is needed makes him a tremendous asset to our team.

Roy, we are lucky to have you on our team! Thank you for everything you do for Mayville EMS, our Training Center, and our community. We can't wait to see what you tackle next! ❤️🚑

Mayville EMS Responds to Motorcycle Crash

MAYVILLE, Wis. — Mayville EMS responded at approximately 7:41 a.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2026, to a reported motorcycle crash on County Highway TW near Horicon Street in the City of Mayville.
Mayville EMS provided emergency medical care at the scene and transported one patient for further evaluation and treatment.

Additional emergency medical resources were requested to support the response. Air-medical transport was requested but was unavailable because aircraft were unable to fly in the weather conditions at the time.

Mayville EMS thanks the following agencies for their assistance:

Mayville Police Department

Horicon Police Department

Dodge County Sheriff's Office

Beaver Dam Fire Department

Western Lakes Fire District

No further patient information will be released by Mayville EMS in order to protect patient privacy.

Public Safety Reminder
Mayville EMS reminds motorcyclists to prioritize safety every time they ride. Riders are encouraged to wear a properly fitted, DOT-compliant helmet and appropriate protective gear, remain visible to other motorists, ride within their abilities, and remain alert to changing roadway and traffic conditions.

Motorists are also reminded to watch carefully for motorcycles, particularly at intersections and when changing lanes.
