It consists of a group of gentlemen from Mazeppa and the surrounding area. Our main focus is helping with local and community projects in any way we can, ranging from volunteering our time to donating money or other needed supplies, or from running events to helping plan them, we do whatever needs to be done. We have different events we run on an annual basis, some of them include Mazeppa Daze and

the Bubba Walk, bringing Santa to town, and bingo. These events help bring the community together and also serve as a way for use to generate funds for the things we are involved in. We are always looking for new members and have grown substantially over the past few years. We hope to see you out and about enjoying the area and helping support the local community!

🚨🚨⚠️ ATTENTION ⚠️🚨🚨

It’s almost time for fireworks—and, if we may be so bold, have outdone ourselves this year. Here’s the annual reminder that the best seat in the house also happens to be a safe distance from the blast area, of which we have conveniently marked for you. Just in case you need to hear us say it, this is not a recommendation; the quarantined area is 100% off limits to all non-active MFD members. In all the excitement it’s easy to forget fireworks are dangerous stuff and the last thing we want is someone getting hurt.

As your friendly neighborhood volunteer firefighters, we’ll be handling the launch zone. That means:

No sneaking past the barriers into the woods

No trying to “get a better look” as soon as the lights go out

No getting close for a selfie (we’re sweaty while working and don’t photograph well anyway)

We’re proud to be part of this celebration—and even more proud when everyone gets home safe. So please, have some respect for your local firefighters and stay back. The show is designed to have the best view from the field anyway, away from the smoke, and noise, and debris. We work very hard to put on a good show and are excited to enjoy another Mazeppa Daze!
