Tomorrow is shaping up for more severe weather, specifically affecting our area. More updates will come out from now until then, but for now, it's time to prepare:
✅Know your shelter locations. (Lowest level, interior rooms, away from windows. Put as many walls between you and the outside as possible.)
✅Have batteries in your flashlights and weather radios.
✅Make sure you have multiple ways to receive alerts.
✅Secure anything in your yard that can blow away (trampolines, patio furniture, garbage cans, etc.)
✅Follow official sources for updates.

There is a threat for strong (EF-2+) tornadoes across northern Illinois this afternoon between 4 and 8 PM. The highest threat will be in the dark red shaded area. This area has shifted farther south than previously forecast. Take tornado warnings seriously, and have multiple ways to get warning information today.
