Please join us in congratulating C-Shift M23 Paramedic Iris Alanis and EMT Rachel Torres for their outstanding performance during a critical emergency involving an asthmatic patient who went into cardiac arrest.

Through fast thinking, strong critical-care knowledge, teamwork, and the training they’ve worked so hard to maintain, Iris and Rachel quickly took action and provided lifesaving interventions that ultimately resulted in ROSC — Return of Spontaneous Circulation, meaning the patient’s heartbeat and circulation were successfully restored after cardiac arrest. ❤️‍🩹

Their ability to remain focused under pressure and put their training into action is exactly what makes our crews extraordinary.

👏 Great job, Iris & Rachel! Your quick actions gave your patient another chance at life. We are proud to have you representing Med-Care EMS! 🚑❤️

🏈 VAQUERO FOOTBALL IS BACK! 🏈🚑

The first UTRGV Football Vaqueros football game of the season is officially in the books, and Med-Care EMS was proud to be there! 💪❤️

Our best crews were on standby, ready to watch over the athletes, fans, and our community throughout an exciting night of football. It was a great game, an incredible atmosphere, and a fantastic way to kick off the season!

🚑🚨"This weeks Spotlight of Excellence Testimony" 🚨…🚑

🚑 HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR B-SHIFT CREW! 🚑

We are incredibly proud of our Med-Care EMS B-Shift team for their exceptional response to a Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) in ESD 5. An MCI is an emergency involving multiple patients that requires rapid organization, strong leadership, teamwork, and control in the middle of chaos.

Our crews managed a tragic and highly critical scene with professionalism and precision. Patients were critical, intubated, placed on ventilators in the field, and rapidly transported for definitive care. Pre Hospital Whole blood was also administered.

In moments where seconds matter, this crew demonstrated exactly what leadership, training, teamwork, and exceptional prehospital care look like.

Yesterday, we were honored to be welcomed by Covenant Christian Academy to provide their faculty with CPR & Stop the Bleed training! ❤️‍🩹🩸

Preparing educators to respond confidently in any emergency is essential—especially when they are entrusted with the safety of our children every day. Knowing CPR and how to control severe bleeding can make a lifesaving difference before first responders arrive. 🚑❤️

We are proud of this collaboration and Covenant Christian Academy’s commitment to keeping their students safe, prepared, and protected. 🙌

The uniform may have changed, but the mission remains the same: serve, protect, and save lives.

The discipline, structure, teamwork, resilience, and commitment learned as an Army medic can become the foundation for an incredible career in EMS. Many of our nation’s military medics bring that same dedication from the battlefield to the ambulance, continuing to answer the call when people need them most.
