Having fun events gives us a chance to connect with our Veterans, spouses and family members!

Our Summer Bash featured water activities, bubbles, watermelon, grilled burgers, snow cones, cotton candy, lollipops, and lively music.

Our theme was Lollipops in honor of lollipop day. Along with lively music we also played "Lollipop" by the Chordettes.

Beach towels were provided for everyone to dry off, and our guests enjoyed a lively water balloon toss and running through the sprinkler arches.

We had a great turnout, and we received many thanks from our Veterans, spouses, and family members. It was truly one for the books!

Nurses Week was an all-out celebration filled with gifts, games, and treats for our best-in-class nursing team at the Alfredo Gonzalez Texas State Veterans Home!

We enjoyed a BBQ, pizza party, and a taco truck with lots of delicious food. Also, we had giveaways for personalized 40 oz water bottles, nurse pins for their lanyards, nurse t-shirts, notepads/pen, and lunch boxes!

Special thanks to our dedicated team of nurses and those who prepared meals and snacks to make our nurses feel appreciated and loved.
