Today marks the last day of my contract year, and I can’t help but reflect on what a wonderful year it has been.

As I close out my 4th year at Bentsen, I am filled with gratitude for this amazing school community. The love and support I have received from our students, families, and staff has been truly incredible. I am thankful every day for the opportunity to serve a campus filled with such dedicated educators, supportive families, and outstanding students.

Bentsen is a special place because of the people who make it what it is. Thank you for trusting me, supporting our campus, and helping us continue to build the Bentsen Experience together.

I am proud of all we accomplished this year, and I look forward to the great things still to come.

Our Sharyland Rattler Baseball Team is headed to the UIL 5A Division II State Championship, and we need the entire Rio Grande Valley to help us paint the town RED & WHITE!❤️🤍

We invite businesses, restaurants, offices, and storefronts across the Valley to show your Rattler Pride by decorating your windows, doors, counters, and displays in support of our team.

📸Take pictures of your decorations and share them on social media using so we can showcase your support! Don’t forget to Sharyland ISD, Sharyland ISD Athletics, and Sharyland High School.

Let’s show our student-athletes what community pride looks like. Together, we can make the Valley a sea of RED & WHITE as our Rattlers chase a State Championship!

Today, we celebrate and honor our incredible staff members who are retiring after many years of dedicated service to students, families, and our school community.

Your impact reaches far beyond the classroom and campus walls. Through your compassion, commitment, patience, and love for children, you have helped shape countless lives and created memories that will last for years to come.

Although we will miss seeing you at Bentsen each day, we are so grateful for the legacy you leave behind. Thank you for giving so much of yourselves to our Rattlers and for being such an important part of the Bentsen family.

☀️🏃‍♂️ Field Day is officially underway at Bentsen! 🏃‍♀️🎉

We are kicking things off with our 5th and 6th grade Rattlers, and it has been a fantastic start to the day! The weather is just right, the sun isn’t beating down, and our students are having an absolute blast competing, playing, and making memories with their classmates.

A big thank you to our parents and families who came out to cheer on our students and enjoy the fun from the sidelines. We love seeing our Bentsen community come together for moments like these.

What a splash-tastic way to celebrate attendance! 💦🐍

Our Bentsen Rattlers had an amazing time participating in our attendance incentive, “Dunk the Principals!” Students who earned the opportunity got to take their best shot at sending our principals into the dunk booth, and they did not disappoint!

This event was all about celebrating students for showing up, staying committed, and helping us work toward our attendance goals. Every day matters, and today was a great reminder that good attendance can lead to some unforgettable memories!

Today we celebrate a very special milestone for our youngest Rattlers as they walk the stage in their caps and gowns. This is our second year celebrating our Kinder graduates in this special way, and it continues to be such a beautiful tradition for our campus.

We are so proud of how much they have learned, grown, and shined this year. Kinder may be ending, but their journey is just beginning!
