Last week, we said goodbye to our incredible Class of 2025–2026 6th graders! ❤️ It was a day filled with both happy tears and exciting new beginnings. We are so proud of all they’ve accomplished and the amazing growth they’ve shown during their time at DWE. As they take the next step in their journey, we wish them nothing but success and happiness. We celebrated the incredibly well-deserved retirement of Mrs. Aurora Hernandez after 28 amazing years in education — 18 of those years dedicated to Wernecke Elementary!
Mrs. Hernandez has impacted countless students and families through her unwavering dedication, commitment, and passion for helping every child succeed at DWE. Her kindness, hard work, and love for education have left a lasting mark on our school community.
