- A Qualifying Test Score: SAT: 1000 combined (Math + Evidence-Based Reading/Writing), ACT: 22 composite, or ASVAB:74
- Complete a short, personal essay as part of your online application about why you want to be an officer
- Pass the Marine Corps Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
- Complete an interview with our Marine Corps NROTC selection officer
- Apply to and be accepted by an NROTC-affiliated college
- Commit to serve as a Marine Corps officer after graduation

As a Marine in Signals Intelligence and Ground Electronic Warfare (26XX), you’ll specialize in collecting, analyzing, and disseminating vital data to shape the battlefield. Today, the Commandant of the Marine Corps approved changes to the Marine Corps policy regulating tattoos. Key policy changes can be found in Marine Corps Bulletin 1020, uploaded here: https://go.usa.gov/xeaHs.

The decision to change the policy came after a months-long review of existing regulations, which were believed to have an adverse effect on retention and recruiting efforts. In the course of this review, a panel of Marines from various background and ranks recommended changes to the policy, which are reflected in the bulletin.
