Friday, August 5, 2022

4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. – Packet pick up at the McAllen Convention Center – Runners/Cyclists pick-up packet for 5K/10K Run and 20 mile and 40 mile cycling ride. Packet pick up – If picking up packets Friday morning, be prepared to wait in line for a while. Best to pick up packet on Friday, August 5th to avoid a mad dash for late re

gistration.

7:00 a.m. Cycling Ride – 20 mile and 40 mile ride starts
Ride starts on the west side of the Oval Park at the McAllen Convention Center

7:30 a.m. 5K/10K Run Race starts at Oval Park at McAllen Convention Center. Registration www.mcallecrimestoppers.org $25

9:00 a.m. Kids Run around the oval park
Registration: FREE

9:00 a.m. Kids Bike Rodeo – McAllen Police Department & Run, Ride & Share. FREE - bicycle helmets will be given away until supplies last.

9:00 a.m. “Back to School Supplies” Fair on west side of the McAllen Convention Center. H-E-B and the McAllen Police Department will be hosting a “Back to School Supplies” Fair. Thank You for Supporting McAllen Crime Stoppers, Inc.

Viva McAllen Streets is right around the corner and here is what you need to know to be Viva McAllen ready!

Packet Pick Up:
Where: McAllen Convention Center-700 Convention Center Blvd. McAllen, TX
When: Friday, August 5th
Time: 4PM-8PM

Please note, if you are unable to pick up packets at the scheduled date and time, packets may be picked up the day of the event. You are encourged to pick up packets on Friday the day before the event to allow for a smooth start the day of event. Please make sure to arrive by 6am the day of the event to sign in and pick up your packet if you chose to pick up the day of the event.

Start Times:
Cyclist Start Time: 7AM
10K Start Time: 7:30AM
5K Start Time: 7:40AM

Guess who will be making a special appearance at Viva McAllen Streets?! A special thank you to The Texas Gulf Coast Squad of The Star Garrison Ambassadors at the event!

On behalf of the McAllen Crime Stoppers board, special thanks to Jim Darling McAllen Mayor for the donation to the McAllen Crime Stoppers program. Mayor Darling provided the funds through his State of the City community funds. Mayor Darling, Mayor Elect Javier Villalobos, commissioners, McAllen Police Dept and the City of McAllen have always supported the crime fighting program. Here’s to keeping McAllen one of the safest communities in the country.
