Vinton County PORT Post Overdose Response Team We're here for those living with substance use disorder. Drugs like Fentanyl and Xylazine ARE in our area.

We've lost way too many to the opioid epidemic that just seems to get more and more deadly everyday. We urge you to be safe, never use alone, and always carry Narcan. Have you lost someone to overdose? Do you want a safe space to honor and remember? Please send pictures to [email protected] I'll print them out and have them at the memorial activity table. We will be adding those we've lost to our memorial birch tree Thursday August 27th around 530pm.

VCPRC meeting today at noon/ Vinton County PORT meeting at 130pm. The VCPRC is the Vinton County Prevention and Recovery Coalition it is open to anyone who wants to support our vision: Vinton County will act as a caring community to address the substance use epidemic.
We meet bi-monthly here at the Vinton County Health Department (virtual option available also) to share resources, learn, and discuss ways to support our community. PORT meets monthly to share stats and news about what the team is doing. We also plan and discuss ways to improve the program.
