Southwestern Athens County in southeastern Ohio...
Northeastern Jackson County in southeastern Ohio...
Northwestern Meigs County in southeastern Ohio...
Southeastern Vinton County in southeastern Ohio...

* Until 930 PM EDT.

* At 625 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain
have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Wellston, Albany, Hamden, Coalton, Wilkesville, Radcliffe,
Dyesville and Carpenter.

AFFECTS: Athens, OH; Jackson, OH; Meigs, OH; Vinton, OH

INSTRUCTION: Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

the following counties, Athens, Meigs, Morgan, Perry, Vinton and
Washington and West Virginia, including the following counties,
Doddridge, Harrison, Pleasants, Ritchie, Taylor, Tyler and Wood.

The Flood Watch will expire at 2 PM EDT this afternoon. The flash
flooding threat has ended, however there remains ongoing residual
flooding across portions of Perry and Morgan Counties.
