Here is the latest Drought Monitor update for Alabama. Abnormally Dry to Moderate drought conditions remain in place across much of the region. Drought conditions are likely to remain. However, slow improvements are expected.

Important Reminders Ahead of June 16 Primary Runoff Election

Alabama Voters: Important information heading into the June 16, 2026 Primary Runoff Election.

“AlabamaVotes.gov remains the best resource for voters preparing to exercise their right to vote in the June 16 Primary Runoff Election,” said Secretary Allen. “Alabamians can verify their voter registration status, find their polling location, and review their county’s sample ballot so that they are fully prepared when heading to the polls.”

On Election Day, polls will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters are required to present a valid form of photo identification before voting at their polling place or by absentee ballot.

Election results will be posted on a door or other visible location at each polling place. Cumulative election results will be posted on the Alabama Secretary of State’s website at www.AlabamaVotes.gov.

7:55am UPDATE: The Level 2 of 5 (Slight Risk) has been expanded to include a larger portion of Central Alabama through this afternoon with a little higher chance of seeing an isolated damaging wind gust. Timing remains the same.

6/1, 6:30am: More scattered to numerous showers & storms will be upon us by this afternoon, developing to our NW and moving SE. Gusty winds & hail will be the primary hazards roughly from 11am to 6pm. Folks with outdoor plans during this timeframe should stay weather aware, and we'll keep you updated with the latest forecast trends and radar updates.
