Join us for spook-tacular family fun at Halloween Fairyland!

Explore carnival rides and games, pose for spooky photos, ride the train, and enjoy tasty treats from food trucks and friendly vendors. As the sun sets, Trick-or-treating winds throughout the campgrounds where our talented campers go all out decorating. Don’t miss the incredible displays and hard work they put into the Halloween Campsite Decorating competition!

Homeschool Day!

September 16, 2026, 9:00 am – 11:30 am

Homeschoolers, come explore Tannehill on a guided tour!
Learn how iron was made at the historic Tannehill Ironworks during the Civil War, what natural resources attracted settlers and industrialists here, and how Alabama’s industrial pioneers lived in the 1800s. We’ll visit the furnaces, the Iron and Steel Museum of Alabama, and take the train to the John Wesley Hall Grist Mill.
This program is recommended for ages 6 and up.

Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy afterwards and spend time in the park, on the trails, or at the Playground!

Advance prepaid registration is required for this event.
- Program fee is $8 per attendee.
- Register ahead of time at the park office (Edwards House) or by calling 205-477-5711 x1
- Registration is limited and will be first come first served.

And so it begins!!
Folks are already pitching tents and saving spots for the 35th annual Tannehill Halloween Fairyland on October 31.

Until September 1, campers still need to move spots every 14 days, so bring your spot-swap buddy and claim your favorite sites. It’s a great way to save your spot and share the fun!
Starting September 1, the requirement to move spots every 14 days is waived for Halloween season.

Campsite rates:
• Improved (water and power): $30 per night
• Sewer (water, power and sewer hookup): $35 per night
• Primitive: $20 per night

We offer a 15% discount for seniors 62+, military and veterans, and those with a disability.
Discounts do not apply on holiday weekends. Camping is nonrefundable; rainchecks only. A 3.5% fee applies to card payments.

Campsites are filling up fast, so come grab your spots or risk losing your favorite site with the best set up for your Halloween Fairyland decor!
Please follow campground rules and be courteous to your neighbors when staking out and setting up.
