446th Security Forces Reservist Saves Life in Local Community

What began as an accidental firearm discharge near Peshastin Pinnacles State Park resulted in a life saved, thanks to the quick thinking of Senior Airman Drew Davis, 446th Security Forces Squadron reservist, who also serves as a deputy for Chelan County Sheriff's Office. Davis received the Peace Officer Award from the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office in recognition of his life-saving actions.

As an instructor in the Air Force Reserve, Davis trains fellow Airmen in the safe and effective use of force, close-quarters combat, and firearm safety, helping prepare them to respond confidently and professionally in high-pressure situations.

In December 2025, Davis recognized that a fellow service member was displaying stroke-like symptoms, quickly identifying the situation required immediate medical attention, he promptly transported the member to Madigan Army Medical Center, notified the individual’s family, and remained by their side until family members arrived.
