Well Folks,
With the rule proposal of "No Fishing from a Floating Device" being implemented and going into effect starting Monday, 12/14/2020 for our 2021 Coastal Steelhead season some things are definitely going to be a bit different compared to fishing as usual. I for one minute am not saying that our Wild Steelhead stocks are in some trouble with continuous decline in populations and some conservation efforts should be taken but what I am frustrated with is how this rule change was implemented in such a short amount of time with very little conversation with all stakeholders to come up with a plan that was a collaborative effort amongst all user groups.
Without diving any deeper into the situation on here and drawing negativity to the subject there is one thing my time in the service taught me and that is to improvise, adapt and overcome. Sounds cliche I know but that is exactly what I plan to do moving forward with the cards we've been dealt.
For those of you interested I have availability beginning January 2021 and I am up for the opportunity of teaching you all some different techniques that we haven't necessarily applied in past seasons. Thanks for all of the support from each and every one of you along the way and I look forward to spending some time on the river with you this season.
