Happy Friday! 😊

I would like to take a moment to remind everyone about SCHOOL BUS SAFETY AND STOP-ARM VIOLATIONS.

When you see a school bus slowing down or stopping with its YELLOW lights flashing, be prepared to stop! The red lights and stop arm will activate very quickly.

🚨 WHEN THE RED LIGHTS ARE FLASHING AND THE STOP ARM IS EXTENDED, YOU MUST STOP. DO NOT PASS THE BUS!

School buses are equipped with cameras, and violations can be recorded. If a violation occurs, I will follow up, and a citation may be issued in accordance with the law.

This is not just about traffic laws or avoiding a ticket. THIS IS ABOUT PROTECTING OUR CHILDREN! A child could be crossing the road in front of or behind the bus, and failing to stop could have devastating consequences.

Please slow down, pay attention, and be prepared to stop when you see a school bus. A few seconds of patience could save a child's life.

PLEASE PAY ATTENTION. STOP FOR THE RED LIGHTS. KEEP OUR CHILDREN SAFE! 🚌❤️

Happy Wednesday! 😊

I hope everyone is having a great week! I wanted to send out a quick reminder about morning traffic and headlights.

I know we are all still waking up and getting that first cup of coffee in the morning. ☕😊 However, it is staying darker longer, and I have noticed a lot of vehicles traveling in the morning without their headlights on.

Please remember to turn your headlights on when you are driving in the dark or when visibility is reduced. It is much harder for other drivers—and especially pedestrians and students—to see you when your headlights are off.

Parents, please take a moment to remind your young drivers about this as well. This is the law, and more importantly, it is about everyone's safety.

I have been trying to get everyone corrected and reminded about this without issuing citations, but I do need everyone to do their part.

So, before you pull out in the morning, take that extra second to turn those headlights on! 🚔💡

Music on Main is about to kick off with great food.

ATTENTION:
Tonight is the final Music on Main and Saturday is the final McComb Farmers Market held by the McComb Community Partnership for the year, so there is no parking in the small parking lot behind the green space on Main Street and the South side parking of Main Street.

Please use caution when driving down Main Street during these events. Thank you to everyone who comes out and enjoys these wonderful events sponsored by the McComb Community Partnership.

Be sure to come out and enjoy the final Music on Main and Farmers Market for the year!
