Important Update for SNAP & Summer EBT Cardholders

What has changed?
On May 13, 2026, SNAP and/or Summer EBT cards were automatically placed in a “Block High-Risk Transactions” status. All newly issued cards will now come with this protection turned on by default.

What does this mean?
This new security setting helps protect your benefits from fraudsters and reduces the risk of unauthorized use.

Does this affect how you shop?
There is no change when using your EBT card in person at an Ohio grocery store using a standard checkout.

However, you will need to temporarily unlock the “Block High-Risk Transactions” setting if you:
• Order groceries for pickup or delivery
• Shop in another state (including Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Pennsylvania, or West Virginia)
• Use “scan and go” self‑checkout options (like Meijer Shop & Scan or Sam’s Club Scan & Go)

How to lock or unlock your card (available 24/7):
• Through the official ConnectEBT app
• Online at ConnectEBT.com
• By calling 1‑866‑386‑3071

Some staff were honored to be a part of the HOFNOD - Hooked on Fishing, Not on Drugs event held on Saturday. So thankful for the Morgan County Prosecutors Office and Morgan County Sheriffs Office for all of their hard work and collaboration to make this such a successful event. I would love to give a shout out to our local FFA kids and the group of National Guard kids who volunteered. They all jumped right in to help out and were truly amazing!

Announcement: Our agency will be closed to the public on May 25, 2026 in observation of Memorial Day.
