The Phone Scam has started again. The scam starts with a phone call, from the police department's phone number, faked number, then they try and get you to send money to a victim to pay for damages I r doctor. The police department does not advise you to send money to other people
Most of the calls claim to be Chief Willis.
Please do not fall for that. Call my office to report it

The McCormick Police Department has been made aware of SCAMS claiming to be Chief Bo Willis.
I want to assure everyone that Chief Willis does not accuse people of activity on the internet and resolve the complaint with you paying anyone.
If you are contacted please contact this agency and your local agency, do not send money.

Extreme Cold weather is heading our way, this weekend. To be safe here are a few things you may want to think about:
1. Cover any exposed water lines and you may want to leave a slow drip on a sink
2. Make sure your vehicle is ready, battery and antifreeze.
3. Make arrangements for outdoor pets and animals.
4. Plan for possible power outage
5. STAY INDOORS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE
