Best Buddies is offering a fun way to meet new people, make connections, and celebrate inclusion today -- they're offering bracelet making during HS lunch periods! Students can get creative as they design their own custom beaded bracelet while also learning more about the Best Buddies organization. Great job to all of today's volunteers!

Due to a down tree and power line, a section of Miller’s Run Road between Old Oakdale Road and Route 50 is closed (near Airport Road – the location of our temporary bus garage). Crews are on-scene, but have not given the district a timeframe to reopen the road. The district will transport students, but families should expect delays. If driving to campus, alternate routes should be used. Families will be alerted via ParentSquare once the road is reopened.

Just one week from today....it's the annual SF Homecoming Carnival, sponsored by SFHS Student Government. Don't miss out on this fantastic, family-friendly event. There's no charge for admission. Come hungry -- we'll have lots of food trucks to choose from! It starts at 4:30 pm at the Stadium, and be sure to stay to the end (8:30 pm) because the Little Green Machine performs at 8 pm. See you there!

The school year is already off to a great start! 🍎

It's already the second week of school, and our Lion Learners are busy exploring, creating, collaborating, and growing across all of our schools and in a wide variety of subjects. From classrooms and labs to creative spaces and beyond, there is so much exciting learning happening throughout South Fayette!

We can’t wait to see all that our students accomplish this year! 💚🦁🤍

For the 8th annual Handprints Heal Footprints event this week, SFHS students once again covered the windows with colorful handprints as a reminder that every Lion matters and every Lion belongs.

And this year, for the first time, our 5th graders joined the tradition, coming up to the high school to leave their handprints alongside our older students. 🦁💚

It's so much more than paint on a window. A handprint is something we leave on purpose. It's an intentional choice to do something good that can heal the negativity that comes from a footprint

The handprints will remain on the windows throughout the school year as a lasting reminder that belonging means there is room for you, and mattering means your presence makes a difference. With even one handprint missing, the picture of South Fayette isn’t complete.

Way to make your mark, Lions! 🐾

🌞🐾As the sun rose in Lion Country today, the Senior Class of 2027 assembled to welcome it and one another on their last first Friday. With donuts, coffee, smiles, and friendship, they made even more memories to carry with them as the prepare to embark on futures as bright as the sun. Have a wonderful year, Seniors! 💚🦁🤍
