City of Washington Police Department
WASHINGTON, Pa - The City of Washington Police Department is investigating three separate incidents that occurred during the morning hours of February 7, 2026. Investigations remain ongoing, and information is subject to change as additional facts are
developed.
Shots Fired Investigation â 600 Block of Allison Avenue:
At approximately 6:11 A.M., patrol units were dispatched to the 600 block of Allison Avenue for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located multiple shell casings. Detectives responded to the scene and processed the area for evidence.
No injuries were reported as a result of this incident. A vehicle belonging to the reporting party was struck by gunfire. At this time, there is no reason to believe this incident is connected to the other incidents described below; however, the investigation remains
active and ongoing.
Armed Robbery Investigation â 100 Block of Hayes Avenue:
At approximately 6:55 A.M., officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Hayes Avenue for a report of an armed robbery. The victim was not on scene upon officersâ arrival and subsequently met with officers at an alternate location to provide a statement.
Preliminary information indicates the victim was approached by several younger African American males wearing masks, with fi****ms present. The suspects reportedly forced the victim into their vehicle and transported him to a local bank, where the victim was compelled to withdraw funds. The suspects and victim then traveled to another location, where the suspects demanded additional funds through an application-based money
transfer.
Stolen Vehicle / Suspicious Activity Investigation â 700 Block of North Franklin Street:
At approximately 9:10 A.M., officers were dispatched to the 700 block of North Franklin Street for a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in a residentâs driveway. The caller reported the vehicle did not belong to him and observed damage to the steering
column. The caller further reported observing three juveniles in the areaâtwo in a separate vehicle and one on foot. The juvenile on foot, who was wearing a ski mask, repeatedly apologized for the vehicle being parked in the driveway. The juvenile subsequently entered the vehicle and fled the area, followed by the second vehicle containing the other two juveniles.
The vehicle involved was later confirmed to be reported stolen out of Canonsburg Police Department. A Be-On-The-Lookout (BOLO) was issued for the suspect vehicle, described as a white Kia Sportage bearing Pennsylvania registration JXR-1000.
Investigation Status:
There is reasonable belief that the armed robbery and the stolen vehicle investigation may be connected; however, this has not been confirmed at this time. Investigators do not believe the shots fired incident is connected to the other incidents, though that
determination remains subject to ongoing investigation.
All three incidents remain under active investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available and as investigations progress.
