We're excited to celebrate this incredible new addition to Henry County.

The ceremony begins Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 10:00 AM. Be among the first to tour the facility as we mark this exciting new chapter.

Please note that this event is a ribbon cutting ceremony only. The pools and water attractions will not be open for swimming or recreation during the event. The Henry County Aquatic Center and Waterpark will fully open to the public on June 20, 2026.

Construction crews working on the in-progress Western Parallel Connector project will be closing a portion of Mt. Olive Road. The project date has been updated to begin on July 7, 2026. The road will be closed between the back entrance to the CroftHouse McDonough apartments and Mt. Olive Baptist Church. The back entrance into the Target / Henry Town Center shopping center will remain open.

This closure is necessary to complete construction of a new bridge on Mt. Olive Road. A detour route will be provided on Jonesboro Road and Chambers Road. The closure will last an estimated three to six months.

Thank you for everyone's patience as we advance this major roadway project to better connect Henry County.

The Henry County Board of Commissioners meeting summary from June 2, 2026 is now available on our website.

Henry County is committed to improving mobility and safety across the community. The Board approved two grant applications to enhance transportation services. Henry County will apply for the Georgia Department of Transportation Local Maintenance & Improvement Grant (LMIG) to support local road maintenance throughout the community.
