🌟 Henry Collaborative Meeting Brings Community Leaders Together to Strengthen Henry County Families 🌟
On July 21, 2026, Connecting Henry, Inc. and the Georgia Family Connection Partnership hosted the Henry Collaborative Meeting at Mercer University, bringing together community leaders, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, faith-based partners, and local stakeholders committed to supporting children and families throughout Henry County.
This free community gathering provided an opportunity to share resources, discuss local needs, strengthen partnerships, and explore collaborative solutions that help our community thrive.
💡 Featured Speakers & Key Discussions Included:
✨ Dr. Nancy J. Lewis, President of Progressive Techniques, Inc.
Dr. Lewis shared insights on “Leading Across Generations in Today’s Workplace,” emphasizing that strong leadership, psychological safety, communication, and collaboration are essential to building successful teams. She encouraged leaders to embrace generational diversity, replace assumptions with curiosity, and recognize the unique strengths each generation brings.
✨ Michelle Amarra, Board Chair of IMPACT Alliance
Michelle shared the mission of Henry County’s Recovery Community Organization and highlighted the importance of hope, connection, and reducing stigma around substance use and mental health. She reminded attendees that recovery is possible, support matters, and communities are stronger when we lead with compassion, education, and accessible resources.
✨ Denise Wright, Regional Director with Communities In Schools of Georgia
Denise discussed the importance of supporting the whole child through relationships, resources, and community partnerships. Communities In Schools works alongside schools to provide trusted support systems that help students overcome barriers, graduate, and achieve their goals.
✨ Kira Harris-Braggs, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta
Kira shared valuable resources available to community organizations, including CHOA’s Community Resource Library, Strong for Life wellness program, mobile app, and opportunities for partnership to improve children’s health outcomes across Georgia.
