Lunch and Learn – Myths and Facts about Organic Gardening 🌱🥦🍅

Organic Gardening is not what everyone thinks it is, such as no pesticides or fertilizers. Like anything else, it has its advantages and disadvantages. The practice is more labor intensive but is do-able with proper planning. Whitney Ottinger, Sustainable Agriculture Coordinator/Educator with the UGA Center for Urban Agriculture, will be the presenter.

The Henry county Farmer’s Market is officially here!! Come out and support local businesses! Our Henry County 4-H program is selling geraniums still! $10 for 8 inch pots and $20 for hanging baskets! Come while supplies last!

The Farmers Market is every Thursday from 10:00AM to 2:00PM at the Jason T. Harper Arena at heritage park.

This Thursday The Henry County Extension Office Farmers Market will be held under the Jason T Harper Arena from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. We will have many local vendors selling many products such as fresh produce, baked goods, and other items. Come out and support your local Extension office and small businesses!!! We look forward to seeing you on Thursdays throughout the Market season.

UGA Extension helps equip food service professionals with the knowledge needed to protect public health and reduce food safety risks across Georgia communities.

We are offering a two day program for one of our ServSafe Manager Certification Class on July 28th-29th, 2026 at 8 AM to 3:30 PM. It is held at Henry County Exxtension Office: 97 Lake Dow Rd, McDonough, GA 30252

It includes full course, study materials, up-to-date book, and exam for those two days.
