Hayfields State Park This day-use park features a mix of heavily wooded mountain land, valley pastures and an 1800s farmhouse. Vulgar language. B. Sexual content. C. D. Personal attacks.

Enjoy hiking to stunning overlooks or peaceful strolls along the Bullpasture River, famous for its trout fly fishing access. DCR's social media activities are intended to present agency matters of public interest to clients, businesses and visitors. DCR encourages users to submit questions and comments but asks users to remain civil and on topic.

1. DCR strongly discourages, and may remove to the

Help make a difference at Hayfields by joining rangers in picking up litter along the Bullpasture River and around the park.

‼️ If you spot a fawn alone at the park, please don’t approach, touch or move it. It’s completely normal for mother deer to leave their young hidden while they forage, and human interference can actually put the fawn at risk.

If you’re concerned, observe from a distance and report the sighting to a park ranger.

Let’s help keep Virginia’s wildlife safe by giving them space. πŸ¦ŒπŸ’š

Saturday July 18:
🎨 Come paint a barn quilt and learn about this American folk-art tradition at 2 p.m. 🎟 Barn Quilt Painting does include a $5 painting fee, please call the park office (540) 396-4489 to register.

Sunday July 19:
🀿 Cool off by the Bullpasture River and look for macroinvertebrates while snorkeling the river between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
