Just a reminder that dogs in Lower Mud Lake Natural Resource Area must be on a leash at all times. This to protect nesting birds and mammals as well as fellow hikers and other dogs. We also do at times use herbicides at LMLNRA so keeping your dog on the trail keeps them safe. Dane County has 8 off leash dog parks and McFarland has an off leash dog park just down the road from LMLNRA.

We welcome dogs in the Dane County Park System at our off-leash dog parks and throughout the Dane County Park System.
