A run to remember 🏃🇺🇸

This week our Port Dawgs completed the 13th annual Port Dawg memorial run! With this tradition, we honor our fallen brothers and sisters and know that while they may be gone, they will never be forgotten.

To all our Port Dawgs, thank you for not only participating but for showing up for your fellow wingmen.

Together we carry their legacy today, tomorrow and forever more.

Courtney's Cove is a dedicated space for our military spouses and loved ones to connect, work, and grow. The mission is to help spouses build identity, purpose, and community by providing a place to learn new skills and expand their networks. The space is named in loving memory of Courtney Crawford, whose spirit of inclusion and support is at the heart of the Cove's purpose: to be a beacon where every spouse knows they belong💙🤍
A heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Shannon Eggert for her vision and dedication, and to the entire team—including the Crawford family, installation teammates, and community partners for making this possible. We are also grateful to everyone who attended the opening ceremony to honor Courtney’s legacy⭐

Congratulations to Senior Airman Bailen Lewis from the 32nd Aerial Refueling Squadron as this month’s “Can-Do Airman of the Month”!

Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Lewis serves as an Aerial Refueling Operator, playing a vital role in global mission readiness. His ambition drives him to continuously improve, with aspirations to become an instructor boom operator in the KC-46. In his off-duty time, he enjoys soccer, baseball, and trying new foods.

Lewis is also dedicated to personal and professional development, working towards his CCAF degree and a Bachelor's in Petroleum Engineering. He is challenging himself with long-distance swimming and cycling, with the ultimate goal of competing in a triathlon.

Thank you, Senior Airman Lewis, for all that you do to support the people around you and the Air Force as a whole. Your dedication is what keeps the “Can-Do” mission going!

Blue skies and tailwinds, Lt. Col. Matthew Mattson.

Today the 305th Air Mobility Wing celebrated Mattson’s fini flight, marking the close of a career that began when he graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 2006.

Over the years he flew an incredible lineup of aircraft — C-21, MC-12, C-130, MQ-1, KC-135, and KC-46 — supporting missions around the globe.

Mattson also served as Director of Operations for the 349th Air Refueling Squadron at McConnell AFB and most recently led the 2025 JBMDL Power in the Pines as the Air Show Director, bringing the joint force mission to our local community.

Today’s fini flight celebrated more than just flying — it celebrated leadership, mentorship, and years of service to the Airmen who flew beside him.

Congratulations on an outstanding career.
