Some things are worth letting go... but this performance isn't one of them.

Our clients took the stage and performed the musical Frozen, and they absolutely brought down the house. So proud of every single one of them. A huge thank you to our incredible staff for all the work behind the scenes, the Woodstock Opera House and the Friends of the Opera House for making this possible. We couldn't have done it without you.

Meet Giselle! She is a Case Manager for Runaway and Homeless Youth and has been part of the Pioneer Center team for the past year. Giselle works closely with youth and families to provide support, stability, and guidance through difficult situations.

Giselle earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Lewis University and holds a certificate in Domestic Violence. She is passionate about creating a space where young people feel heard, supported, and understood.

A huge thank you to an anonymous donor who recently donated to our McHenry County PADS Homeless Shelter. Gas/food gift cards, shower caddies, condiments, and pantry staples are all being provided to the guests at PADS who need them most. PADS Homeless Shelter has been selected by Community Purse to receive a community grant!

Community Purse is a group of local women who rally behind nonprofits doing meaningful work, and we're honored they chose to invest in our Homeless Services program. Every bit of support helps us show up for neighbors in McHenry County when they need it most.

The McHenry County Resource Center connects individuals and families with organizations offering housing, food assistance, mental health services, employment resources, veteran support, transportation, and more.

Visit the Resource Center on Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the McHenry County Mental Health Board, 620 Dakota Street in Crystal Lake.

There was plenty of fun and excitement at the Pioneer Center booth at the City of Woodstock Family Fun Day. We enjoyed meeting new families and seeing familiar faces

Visitors enjoyed games, prizes, learning about Pioneer Center's mental health services, homeless services, and programs for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as opportunities to make new friends.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, and a special thank-you to the City of Woodstock for hosting such a wonderful day.

Meet Jaden! She is a Prevention Case Manager at Pioneer Center and has been part of the team for over three years. In her role, Jaden provides prevention education and support to youth throughout McHenry County.

Jaden is pursuing her Master of Social Work at Aurora University and is passionate about making a positive impact in the community.
