WE’RE ONE WEEK IN! Last week, we officially kicked off YFC’s **2026–2027 After-School Program**, and we couldn’t be more excited about the year ahead!

Our first week was filled with new friendships, getting to know our new routines, creative activities, laughter, learning, and plenty of fun! We loved seeing our youth settle into the program, connect with one another, and make YFC their after-school home.

One of our favorite parts of starting a new program year is watching our community come together. Our youth are already beginning to build relationships, try new things, and grow together and this is just the beginning!

A big THANK YOU to our amazing staff for all the preparation and energy they put into making our first week a success, and to our families for trusting us with your youth. 💛

One week down, so many more memories to make! 🐝✨

Hi YFC Community! We’re excited to share that registrations for our 2026–2027 After-School Program is officially OPEN! 🎉

Our After-School Program gives youth a safe and welcoming space to learn, grow, build friendships, and have fun after school! Youth will have opportunities to get homework support, participate in hands-on activities, build new skills, learn how to work through challenges, and connect with their peers and community.

Program Details: Monday–Thursday | 2:30 PM–5:30 PM
Open to youth in 1st–12th grade

Hello YFC Community!

The Youth & Family Center of McHenry County is an Open Meal Site!

Youth ages 18 and under can receive a FREE healthy lunch Monday through Thursday from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.

Get a free and nutritious lunch this summer at YFC!

Today's lunch: Turkey and provolone sandwich, celery and carrots with ranch, blue raspberry applesauce, and milk!
