***DUI drugs, operating on suspended license, and drug paraphernalia arrest***
Jackson County Sheriff Daniel Isaacs is reporting that on Friday October 11th, 2024 at approximately 11:11am Jackson County Deputy Sheriff Logan Hacker arrested Matthew Harrison of McKee, KY. The arrest occurred in the parking lot of Fill Ups Gas and Grocery after Deputy Hacker was dispatched to the area on a report of Harrison having been sat stationary in his vehicle for over an hour, and appearing in an intoxicated state. Upon arriving to the area Deputy Hacker located Harrison in his vehicle while it was running adjacent to a gas pump. Further investigation led to the discovery of 3 loaded needles with a dark substance in the passenger seat of the vehicle Harrison was operating. Harrison was determined to be under the influence after Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were conducted, and was placed under arrest.
Deputy Hacker was assisted at the scene by Jackson County Sheriff Daniel Isaacs.
Matthew Harrison was transported to and lodged in the Jackson County Detention Center on the charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle under the influence of Controlled Substances, Operating on Suspended or Revoked Operators License, and Drug Paraphernalia (buy/possess.)
