Rep. Chris Deluzio has secured the endorsement of the national progressive Working Families Party, which cited his support for Medicare for All, a congressional stock-trading ban and his opposition to the Iran war.

The group, which has also backed progressive Pennsylvania figures including Rep. Summer Lee and Allegheny County Executive Sara Innamorato, praised Deluzio’s push to reduce corporate influence in government and support working families.

The endorsement comes as Deluzio faces Republican Tony Guy in Pennsylvania’s 17th Congressional District and continues to build a broader political base amid speculation about possible future statewide ambitions.
