A great day in the City of Clairton! The ribbon cutting for the new Library wrote the beginning of the next chapter in this long lived institution in the city. Several grants I committed to during my tenure and the hard work of Senator Nick Pisciottano’s follow up stewardship made it a reality. Our thanks to our partners Lt Governor Austin Davis, Congresswoman Summer Lee, Representative Dan Goughnour, Mayor Jim Cerqua and Clairton Council. Special thanks to Ms Emma Anderson, Library Director, whose vision helped launch this project.

It was great to be in East Pittsburgh last week to celebrate the ribbon cutting for the new Borough Building with State, County and local elected officials. A state grant I was able to secure before leaving the Senate and continuing support by Senator Nick Pisciottano helped make this building a reality. Congratulations to all who were involved.

My granddaughter Mikayla Linkous was honored along with her fellow seniors this past weekend for four years as dedicated players on the PennWest California Softball Vulcans. Mikayla made her entire family proud. We enjoyed every game and watching you mature and grow as a player and a young lady. Thanks for the great memories! We love you! ❤️🥎
