Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

The Borough of Liberty is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Part-time Assistant Secretary.

The Part-Time Assistant Secretary performs a variety of professional and administrative duties for the Borough and serves as an integral part of the Borough's administrative team. This position supports Borough Council and assists in upholding Borough policies, goals, and strategies. Knowledge of Borough, County, and State laws and regulations is helpful.

Job Duties Include:

Retrieve and provide information as requested by Borough Council, staff, and residents.
Assist other Borough Departments as needed, including ordering and monitoring office and departmental supplies.
Maintain various Borough records and programs.
Assist with payroll processing every other month.
Provide excellent customer service by answering phones, assisting residents, handling complaints, and distributing forms and information.
Maintain accurate records and files.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by Borough Council or as needed in the Borough Office.
Position Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Municipal experience preferred.
Quickbooks experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to exercise discretion, maintain confidentiality, and use independent judgment.
Ability to learn and understand codified ordinances and applicable municipal laws and regulations.
Position Details:

Job Type: Part-Time

Schedule: Office Hours Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm approximately 20 hours per week
