Out of an abundance of caution, McKenzie School was placed in a Secure Perimeter/Heightened Awareness status earlier today as part of our safety plan while local law enforcement searched for an individual wanted on a warrant out of Covington County. During this time, all safety procedures were followed and all students remained safe and secure on campus. Law enforcement has now apprehended the suspect, and the situation has been resolved. At this time, the school has resumed normal operations, and we appreciate the cooperation and support of our staff, students, and community as we prioritize the safety of everyone on campus.
