With the help of partnerships, NCC Habitat has built over 64 houses. Our open-door policy: Everyone who believes that people deserve decent, affordable places to live are welcome to help with the work, regardless of race, religion, age, gender, political views or any of the other distinctions that often divide people. We welcome volunteers and supporters from all backgrounds and we serve people in need of housing regardless of their race or religion. As a matter of policy, Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) and its affiliated organizations do not proselytize. This means that we do not offer assistance with an implied condition that people adhere or convert to a particular faith.Our mission statement is “NCC Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with God and His people to develop communities by enabling families to achieve the dream of homeownership with dignity.”

Habitat Collin County began in 1992 as McKinney Habitat for Humanity, Inc. and in 1994 as Plano Habitat. Our name was changed in 2002 to North Collin County Habitat for Humanity to and Habitat for Humanity South Collin County to reflect our expanding service areas. Our affiliate serves the communities of McKinney, Plano, Allen, Frisco, Melissa, Celina, Princeton, Prosper, Farmersville, Wylie and Anna. In 2018 North Collin County and South Collin County Habitat’s merged to become Habitat for Humanity of Collin County. Through partnerships with local government entities, churches, corporations, individuals and service organizations, we have been able to complete 208 houses and nearly 600 repairs for deserving families since 1992. We also operate two ReStores that sell new and used building materials to the public and takes donations of these materials for a tax-deductible receipt.
