Habitat Collin County began in 1992 as McKinney Habitat for Humanity, Inc. and in 1994 as Plano Habitat. Our name was changed in 2002 to North Collin County Habitat for Humanity to and Habitat for Humanity South Collin County to reflect our expanding service areas. Our affiliate serves the communities of McKinney, Plano, Allen, Frisco, Melissa, Celina, Princeton, Prosper, Farmersville, Wylie and Anna. In 2018 North Collin County and South Collin County Habitat’s merged to become Habitat for Humanity of Collin County. Through partnerships with local government entities, churches, corporations, individuals and service organizations, we have been able to complete 208 houses and nearly 600 repairs for deserving families since 1992. We also operate two ReStores that sell new and used building materials to the public and takes donations of these materials for a tax-deductible receipt. For more information about volunteering, qualifying for a home or the ReStore, call 972-542-5300.
