Habitat for Humanity - Collin County

Habitat for Humanity - Collin County Habitat Collin County brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope. In 2018 we merged with South Collin County.

Habitat Collin County was incorporated in 1992 in McKinney, Texas, as McKinney Habitat for Humanity, Inc. Our name was changed in 2002 to North Collin County Habitat for Humanity to reflect our expanding service area. Our affiliate serves the communities of McKinney, Plano, Frisco, Melissa, Allen, Celina, Princeton, Prosper, Farmersville, Wylie, and Anna. Through partnerships with local government

entities, churches, corporations, individuals and service organizations, we have been able to complete 220 houses for deserving families since 1992. We also operate a 2 ReStores that sell new and used building materials to the public and takes donations of these materials for a tax-deductible receipt. For more information about volunteering, qualifying for a home or the ReStore, call 972-542-5300. Habitat for Humanity is an equal opportunity non-profit housing organization

Your vehicle donation does not have to be running, but it must be whole and have four inflated tires so it can be moved by towing operators. Keep your vehicle out of the junk yard by donating it and helping build hope (and new homes) for local families.

Support housing stability ... every single month.

Our construction schedule is robust with multiple home build projects kicking off starting in June. Dependable support matters more than ever to help us welcome 13 families into new affordable homes by the end of 2026.

The Habitat Hope Crew - our community of monthly donors - provides the reliable funding we need to plan ahead, build more effectively, and walk alongside families for the long haul.

Ongoing monthly gifts help lower overall costs, strengthen our programs, and keep momentum moving across every project. Prefer to give another way? One-time gifts at higher levels also make a meaningful impact.

Today, we pause to honor all who served. A heartfelt thank you those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms our country cherishes today.

“Each of the patriots whom we remember on this day was first a beloved son or daughter, a brother or sister, or a spouse, friend, and neighbor.” — President George H.W. Bush (1992)

As we remember these brave men and women, we’re reminded that building strong, resilient communities is one way we carry their hard-fought legacy forward.

Do you have items in your home that are just taking up space? Grandma's old china that never gets used anymore? Are you or a family member downsizing and have a lot of nice-quality, usable items that could enjoy a new life in someone else's home?

Keep those items out of the landfill and donate them to the McKinney Habitat ReStore. Our intake team will happily help you unload your car or truck when you drop off items. Or if you have items ready to go and no way to get them here, you can schedule a free pick-up.

We sell your donated goods in our ReStore, turning your items into affordable homes and a fresh start for families in our community!

📲Head to our website - you'll find the link in our bio - to check out the list of items we accept and to schedule a pick-up if needed.
