🌟 Welcome to the Furr Family! 🌟

Please join us in welcoming Jacole Perryman to the Furr Team! 💙🍎

Jacole brings valuable experience supporting students with diverse learning needs through her work in special education as both a Functional Academics Paraprofessional and a Registered Behavior Technician. She is passionate about helping students develop communication skills, independence, and confidence that will support their success both inside and outside the classroom. ✨📚

Jacole believes that fostering student independence is one of the most important keys to helping students thrive in all areas of life, and she is excited to bring that mindset to Furr!

A few fun facts about Jacole: she got married this summer! 💍🎉 In her free time, she enjoys binge-watching TV shows 📺 and expressing her creativity through sewing. 🧵🪡

Jacole is looking forward to building meaningful relationships with students, families, and staff and making this a fantastic school year for everyone.

Please join us in welcoming Melissa Mitchell to Furr Elementary as our new Resource Teacher! 💙🍎

Melissa brings a wealth of experience and a passion for helping students thrive. She has worked in both public and private school settings and has spent more than 12 years providing ABA therapy in a private clinic, supporting students with individualized learning and behavioral needs. Her dedication to helping every child succeed makes her a wonderful addition to our team! ✨📚

When she's not working with students, Melissa stays busy cheering on her children as a proud sports mom. ⚾🏈🏐🥎 You'll often find her at the ball field, on the sidelines, or enjoying time outdoors with her family. She also loves spending time at the lake whenever she gets the chance. ☀️🌊

Melissa is excited to get to know our students, staff, and families and is looking forward to being part of such a special school community.

🌟 Meet Our Newest Furr Family Member! 🌟

Please help us give a warm welcome to Joelle Alwin as she joins Furr Elementary as a 3rd Grade Teacher! 🍎📚

Originally from Frisco, Joelle brings a unique story and a wealth of experiences to our school community. For the past seven years, she has been living in New Zealand, exploring both islands and embracing adventures around the world. 🌎✈️ Before pursuing her passion for education, she worked as a Product Manager for Milwaukee Tools and later earned her Master’s Degree to become a teacher.

Family is at the heart of everything Joelle does. ❤️ She and her husband recently welcomed their first child, a sweet baby boy who is now 7 months old. Watching him grow and discover the world has been one of life's greatest joys.

When she’s not teaching, Joelle loves traveling (she has visited more than 70 countries!), spending time at the beach, gardening, and hiking. 🌿🏖️🥾 She has also lived in New Zealand, Chile, and Spain, giving her a truly global perspective to share with her students.

Joelle is excited to begin this new chapter at Furr and looks forward to getting to know all of our students, families, and staff. 💙✨
