Day 2 of competition done! We would like to thank everyone for their support thus far, and we are looking forward to going out there tomorrow and crushing it.

As we reflect back over these last couple days, we are grateful for the chance to be able to come out here and compete against some solid teams from all over the nation. TTPOA always seems to find ways to make this event challenging and fun for everyone. We would like to thank the McKinney Police Department for their support, as well as the support of a few local companies who donated some much needed equipment. Wiley X, DSH Homes and Pools, Bill Joplin's Air Conditioning & Heating, and McKinney Police Association FOP Lodge #107.

Even though we are able to come out here and participate in this fun competition, we are reminded that it is just that, a fun competition. We would like to take a moment to ask you guys to pray for one of our members, and fellow competition teammates. While we were here gearing up for competition, he was called back home due to an unexpected death in the family. While we care about this event and everything it brings, it will never mean more than Family! Our team is built on this fundamental principle. So, to our brother, we love you, we love your family, and we will always have your back!

Hello everyone! I know it has been a while since we have posted anything, but know that we are still here. The team has been hard at work training and responding to critical incidents, ensuring that the citizens of McKinney are safe! Please stay up to date with us as we have a few things coming down the pipeline!

First off, the SWAT competition team will be traveling to Harris County for the annual TTPOA SWAT Competition October 2-6. This team is comprised of 7 members (6 competitors and 1 coach). Competition training started back in July and we have been hard at work getting ready! We will work diligently to keep everyone updated with photos and videos from the competition.

Lastly, please know that as much as we like to have fun and compete, the safety and security of the citizens of McKinney will always be our #1 priority! It is an honor to serve this community, and we will continue to do so with the utmost professionalism!

🚨 Last week, our SWAT team joined forces with the Frisco Police Department SWAT Team for an intense and collaborative training session! 🚓👮‍♂️👮‍♀️

These joint exercises are crucial in building strong partnerships and enhancing our tactical skills. Working together allows us to share best practices, improve coordination, and ensure both our communities remain safe and well-protected.

A huge shoutout to our neighbors in Frisco for their dedication and teamwork. Together, we're stronger! 💪🤝

Another successful TTPOA Basic SWAT School hosted by the McKinney SWAT Team. On behalf of the McKinney Police Department, McKinney SWAT Team, and the Texas Tactical Police Officer’s Association, we would like to thank all our instructors, as well as those who volunteered their time to make this school a success. There were 41 Officers from multiple agencies throughout the State of Texas, as well as surrounding States, that descended on McKinney for this 60-hour course.

As always, big shoutout to TTPOA for all their support. Go check out their page and give them a follow. Also, hit up their website to get plugged in to the training calendar, where you will find a myriad of classes throughout the State to better hone your skills as an operator and leader.

Big thank you to our Agency and Administration for allowing us to host this class. It takes a lot of time and effort by multiple people, and we could not have done it without their support. Thanks to the Celina Police Department and Celina ISD for allowing us to use one of their facilities as well. It truly takes a village.
