This year, the contest features a brand new mascot, Flash Wild, representing SD Wildland Fire.
There are three age groups, and each group will have its own unique design to color.

The staff of the Corson County Sheriff's Office send our condolences to the family and friends of Corson County Coroner Jasper Iron Cloud.

Jasper served Corson County and Standing Rock in various capacities, including Deputy Coroner and Coroner, for a number of years.

RIP, Sir. Thank you for your service!

Beware. Large portions of the South Dakota plains are in Very High to Extreme Grassland Fire Danger now through Friday afternoon. Strong wind gusts combined with very dry grass and brush are a dangerous combination if a fire sparks. Today wind gusts up to 60+ mph are forecast. Even stronger gusts are on the way overnight. Please be extra cautious not to cause any outdoor sparks during this time. If you see a wildfire, call 911 immediately.
